Teaching Assistant – SEND School

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant and nurturing SEND school community. You’ll be part of a supportive team that works together to empower pupils through personalised learning, care, and encouragement every step of the way.
Your Role Will Include:
- Supporting pupils with a range of SEND needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
- Assisting the class teacher with planning, classroom management, and lesson delivery.
- Providing 1:1 and small group support to ensure each child feels seen, heard, and valued.
- Encouraging independence, confidence, and self-esteem in every child.
- Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation in a kind, consistent way.
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
- Has a genuine interest in supporting children with additional needs.
- Is patient, empathetic, and resilient in their approach.
- Can work well as part of a team and follow direction, but also shows initiative.
- Has good communication skills and a positive, nurturing attitude.
- Experience in a similar role or with SEND pupils is highly desirable, but training will be provided for the right person.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
