Maintenance Engineer
Due to their growth and their continuous production, they are looking for an additional Maintenance Engineer to join on a triple days shift pattern, Mornings 6-2; afternoons 2-10 and evenings 10-6.
Your new roleAs a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for upkeeping the smooth operation of maintenance for the business's manufacturing equipment. You will play a pivotal role as part of the maintenance team where you will deliver on both planned maintenance and reactive maintenance activities.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Perform reactive and preventative maintenance
- Repair and diagnose electrical, mechanical and hydraulic issues with machinery
- Adhering to health and safety protocols
- Continuous improvement of maintenance procedures
- Helping to improve planned maintenance activities to reduce machinery downtime
- Liaising and assisting with maintenance colleagues and supporting apprentices
- Be involved in maintenance projects
What you'll need to succeedTo be successful, you will need to:
- Be an apprenticeship trained Maintenance Engineer in a relevant engineering field
- Have a few years of proven experience in a manufacturing environment
- Have the ability to work well in a team
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail
- Be able to effectively perform electrical and mechanical maintenance, strong candidates will be those who are multi-skilled. But candidates who have more of an electrical or mechanical bias will also be considered.
