We are looking for a dynamic Radiographer to join our busy, friendly department
The post is rotational between Northwick Park and Central Middlesex Hospital and Ealing Hospital.
MRI operates between 8am and 8pm seven days of the week therefore a shift system is in operation.
The post holder will need to demonstrate expertise and knowledge in specialised field of MRI Radiology and support the expansion of the MRI service. The post holder should hold a cannulating certificate
The role also requires good communication skills, multidisciplinary team-working and the ability to supervise and train other staff and students.
We currently have six MRI scanners across 3 sites.
To work within a team of radiographic (MRI) and clerical staff within theTrust
To provide a high standard of expertise and care
To ensure safe operation of MRI equipment and maintain safety ofpatients,staff and visitors to the MRI environment.
To help facilitate learning for students and less experienced staff
To work in the 7 day MRI service and take part in the on-call rota on bankholidays for emergency spinal cord compression patients
To ensure correct MRI scanning protocols have been followed and adaptedfor the patients
To recognise pathology and adapt scanning techniques where necessary
To ensure all images are available on PACS and assigned to the correctworklist.
