Royal United Hospitals Bath are seeking a dynamic and compassionate leader, with experience of leading research delivery within healthcare to join the Research and Development Senior Leadership Team.
We are looking for a research practitioner (Clinical Research Matron if NMC registered) who has extensive experience in research delivery to expand and manage our portfolio.
The successful candidate will have a background in clinical research delivery and a strong track record of managing teams. The post holder will be responsible for overseeing the staffing requirements for the current and future portfolio and ensuring that the research workforce are competent and have capacity to deliver our large portfolio of both commercial and non-commercial research .
We are looking for an individual with advanced knowledge of research delivery to ensure that appropriate quality, financial and clinical governance is embedded and to play a key role in the development, management, and implementation of our Research Delivery strategic objectives.
Main duties of the job
The purpose of this role is to provide leadership and management for clinical research delivery teams across the Trust.
The post holder will have a key role in maximising the effectiveness of the use of resources to deliver research within the Trust.
They will ensure the safe and ethical implementation of clinical research studies in accordance with Trust policies and national legislation.
The post holder will ensure a quality, customer focused service to all research participants based on expert practice working within clinical research.
The role will provide a senior focus for professional support and an expert role model for clinical research delivery staff.
This is a senior post within the Trust’s research leadership structure, with a high level of autonomy and freedom to act.
