UHS Digital are looking for a Specialist Information Analyst to join their Data Flows team. It is an opportunity to join our Data & Analytics colleagues and help make a difference to patients, staff, and the organisation through the provision of analytics, data, and insight.

You will be responsible for creating and managing reporting for billing, alongside data analysis and visualisations. Using patient-based data sets and business intelligence reporting software you will support UHS business requirements. These include the NHS Payment scheme and meeting contract reporting needs that underpin our patient care.

We will expect you to develop a detailed understanding of a wide range of patient data collections from across the Trust, and from external sources. You should be prepared to investigate and resolve data quality issues and any incidents associated with them.

There will be opportunities to modernise data flows in your area of responsibility through supported development using Power BI, SQL, and Python.

You will be able to work alongside a wide range of people from across UHS Digital, Trust headquarters, clinical services and other NHS organisations.

As one of the largest acute teaching Trusts in England, we offer learning and development opportunities to help you achieve the career you aspire to.

This role is suitable for agile working, involving a mixture of on-site and remote working. In addition, we are open to discussing flexibility in the hours that you work. Please talk to us at the interview about the flexibility you need, and we will explore what is possible for the role and services.

UHS employees can access a range of NHS discounts, are entitled to a minimum of 35 days paid holiday (pro rata), and we offer a generous pension scheme. Southampton is an attractive place to live, and work situated on the south coast, with an international airport and direct trains to London.

The New Forest National Park and beaches of the Jurassic coast are also right on our doorstep. The city offers living costs 20% lower than London and 14 schools rated outstanding by Ofsted.

To understand the day-to-day responsibilities in more detail please read the full job description document attached.

Your role will involve working closely with our IT development & finance teams to support the collection, processing, analysis and reporting of key trust patient activity. This in turn supports the NHS Payment Scheme and local contractual rules.

You will be expected to work to a set timetable to deliver reporting flows on time in line with internal and external expectations.

A key part of this role is enhancing, improving, and automating how we work to reduce manual burden and increase efficiencies.

This role will suit an experienced information analyst who is enthusiastic about analytics and using it to support clinical services and high-quality patient care.
