John Cabot Academy is an 11-16 academy in South Gloucestershire close to the border of Bristol. We share our site and staffing with the CLF Post-16 provision, forming an 11-18 Academy. The Academy has a strong reputation both locally and regionally.

Empower our Community.We are looking for a Teaching Assistant - Level 1, to assist in the educational, personal and social development of designated students under the direction and guidance of relevant colleagues (e.g. the Principal, SENCo and/or INCo, phase leaders and class teachers.) The successful candidate will support students by adopting relevant strategies and techniques to enable them to access the curriculum, engage with their learning and achieve their full potential.
They will take responsibility for implementing planned learning activities/ teaching programmes as agreed with the teacher, adjusting activities according to students’ responses as appropriate. In addition, they will deliver measurable impact on student attainment as well as social and emotional well-being.
Working collaboratively with relevant colleagues to fulfil the requirements of the role.
