The Opportunity
This post represents an exciting opportunity to join the technical services team within the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences for the provision of high-quality learning and teaching in undergraduate laboratories, and to support the provision of academic research within the laboratories across the faculty.
The postholder will be responsible for undergraduate teaching sessions working both independently and with academics and technical teams from the wider University. The role will also involve working in a small team of technicians to support research laboratories, with some cross-site working required.
The successful candidate will have experience of supporting teaching and learning programme delivery, ideally within a higher education setting, and experience of working in a laboratory environment would be desirable. Experience of using laboratory equipment, implementing Health and Safety procedures, and the ability to communicate effectively and interact with people at all levels are essential to this role.
