Tasks
  • Set up and operate lighting, sound, and other technical equipment for theatre productions, your role is make the show happen safely, professionally and spectacularly
  • Collaborate with directors and production teams to ensure smooth technical execution of performances, both pre, post and during their show weeks
  • Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting of theatre equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Assist in stage setup and breakdown, ensuring all technical aspects are ready for each show
  • Train and supervise volunteers or part-time staff in basic technical operations and safety procedures
Requirements
  • Experience in technical theatre operations, including lighting & sound, Stage management as a plus.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to support performances and events.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues quickly and effectively.
  • Understanding of the enviornment in which YMCA Yorkshire Coast operates in
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with performers, directors, and other team members.

Benefits

Holiday entitlement: Holiday is 22 days plus bank holidays pro-rata

Salary: Grade 2, currently £12.71 per hour

Permanent Contract, Part-Time

Miniumum Hours of 200 per annum but likely to be much more

Paid in arrears
