Senior Printer and Photocopier Field Engineer - Torquay
Gloucester/Bristol and surrounding areas (with frequent travel further afield as required)
Precision Peripherals Ltd is the UK’s largest independent printer services company, providing expert on-site engineering support for a wide range of printing technologies. Due to expansion, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Field Engineer to join our team supporting our customers in South Wales, West Midlands and the South West.
Job Overview:
We are looking for a professional and dedicated Senior Field Engineer to provide on-site assistance to our customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various printing technologies, ensuring the highest levels of customer service and technical expertise.They must also be prepared to learn and adapt to different printing technologies, including thermal, wide format, and other evolving industry solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site service, repair, and maintenance for a variety of printing devices.
- Diagnose faults, troubleshoot, and carry out necessary repairs efficiently.
- Set up and configure scanning, drivers, and networking solutions.
- Work with a range of devices, including Ricoh & Konica Minolta photocopiers, thermal printers (all manufacturers), and Canon/HP wide format printers.
- Install, configure, and support industry-specific software such as Bartender and PaperCut (advantageous but not essential).
- Maintain strong customer relationships, offering technical advice and support where needed.
- Ensure accurate reporting and documentation of service visits.
- Travel within the Midlands and South West, with travel further afield as required.
Key Requirements:
- Essential:
- Photocopier experience, with a strong understanding of service and maintenance.
- Full UK Driving License
- Desirable:
- Experience in setting up scanning, drivers, and networking solutions.
- Proven ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues on various printing devices.
- Experience working with industry-specific software (Bartender / PaperCut) is an advantage.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK driving licence required.
- Willingness to learn and develop skills in different printing technologies, including thermal and wide format printers.
Salary: Dependent on experience.
