A primary school in the BL4 area is currently looking to recruit a dedicated individual for the role of General Support Teaching Assistant to provide creative and engaging educational experiences to children in Year 1. The school puts the academic development of their pupils at the heart of all that they do, giving them access to a detailed and wide-ranging curriculum, and their pupils possess many skills that are promoted and celebrated in the positive learning environment they strive to create.With this in mind, the school would expect you to uphold the school’s ethos and core values and implementing relevant policies regarding behaviour and safeguarding.
Within the role of a Teaching Assistant, you will be expected to work alongside with pupils in small groups, or on a 1:1 basis during the teaching of core and foundation subjects, i.e. maths and English. You would be required to monitor the pupils’ progress and providing feedback to the teacher as well as create a positive and stimulating working environment.
This role would be starting on Tuesday 22^nd April 2025, term-time only until the end of the academic year (July 2025) and relevant qualifications (Level 2/3 education-based qualification) are desired but not essential.
