Main duties of the job
You will work closely with the Purchasing Team leader in obtaining the maximum possible value from the money spent by the trust on goods and services. In addition, this role is also key in identifying and delivering cost saving opportunities whilst at the same time ensuring a consistently high-quality service is delivered by the trusts purchasing team.
This role will also ensure that all requests for goods and services not available via managed catalogues are processed effectively and efficiently whilst liaising with and supporting the contracting teams in identifying additional goods and services that should be contracted.
You will be a team player with a keen eye for detail with excellent interpersonal skills and to be able to communicate clearly and concisely at all levels.

To assist the Deputy Associate Director of Procurement, in obtaining the maximum possible benefits from the money spent on goods and service, seeking best value for money, reliability, responsiveness and innovation from the Procurement Service.To support the Purchasing Team Leader and to be responsible for ensuring that all requisitions for goods and services are processed effectively and efficiently and to identify additional goods and services that should be formally tendered. To assist and contribute to the effective management and control of the Trust non-pay expenditure.

Qualifications
Essential criteria- • 5 GCSE’s (A-C) or equivalent including Math’s and English Language.
- • Educated to NVQ Level 4 or Higher National Diploma level or evidence of working at equivalent demonstrable level.
