An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated, and passionate registered nurse or midwife to support the Trust’s Pathway to Excellence® re-designation programme. This is an 18-month fixed term position offering a unique chance to be part of a prestigious programme aimed at enhancing nursing and midwifery practice across the organisation.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Leading communication and engagement activities in preparation for re-designation and the Pathway to Excellence survey
  • Leading the ongoing design and development of the Excellence Ambassador network
  • Supporting the collation of exemplars from practice to be included in the Pathway Standards Document
  • Monitoring and reporting key metrics related to staff engagement, escalating issues to the Pathway To Excellence Facilitator Lead as appropriate

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Applicants must have a strong working knowledge of the Pathway to Excellence framework, including the six standards, and a solid understanding of the Trust’s shared decision-making model that underpins the framework.

Key requirements:

  • Registered Nurse or Midwife with current NMC registration
  • Passion and motivation for excellence in care
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
  • Experience of delivering presentations, public speaking and report writing
  • Ability to inspire and engage others
  • Agreement from your current line manager to support release for the duration of the secondment
