New product development (npd) pilot plant & kitchen assistant
Working in a busy and creative environment you will be responsible for providing high quality ice cream and water ice mixes as well as the development of samples for the NPD Team and customers.
To achieve this you need excellent communication, calculation, organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Working as part of the site NPD team your duties will include the creation of ice cream/water ice mix and concepts from a brief, maintaining the hygiene within the pilot plant and the kitchen, communicate any issues relating to the kitchen equipment, highlighting any issues with mixes (high viscosity etc) and maintain stocks of ingredients.You will also be trained and be expected to freeze down mix.
Initial training will be provided in different areas of the mixing pilot plant and freezing down processes. Its aims to give a good understanding of the pilot plant processes and responsibilities.
You will need to demonstrate a flexible approach to shift working and a successful track record of working under pressure within a manufacturing environment; you will be looking for an opportunity to further develop your talents and career by moving into this challenging role.
The successful candidate will be educated to a minimum GCSE level, or equivalent, have basic IT skills, planning and organizational skills and able to work to deadlines. Other essential qualities to include good interpersonal and communication skills.
