Inglis Vets is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to become a valued member of our large, friendly team. This is a permanent position that offers a diverse and fulfilling workload.

As part of this role, you’ll have the opportunity to engage in a varied caseload that includes hospital shifts, where you'll manage more complex cases and provide care for patients requiring intensive treatment and hospitalization. You’ll be working closely with a well-supported, collaborative team of Registered Veterinary Nurses, Animal Care Assistants, and Client Care professionals.

In addition to hospital shifts, you’ll also enjoy the benefits of working at our branch locations. These shifts offer a change of pace, focusing on more routine cases in a smaller, close-knit team setting, allowing you to build meaningful relationships with clients from the local community and develop a loyal caseload.

You work/life balance is important to us

At Inglis Vets, we’re happy to consider both full-time and part-time applications to suit your lifestyle. Our full-time positions offer a 4-day working week, Monday to Friday, providing an excellent work-life balance. We take pride in offering our own in-house Out of Hours (OOH) service and also provide OOH support for a couple of small local practices.

You’ll be joining a highly experienced team, including dedicated Night Nurses who are onsite throughout the night to ensure the highest level of patient care.

For those with a passion for emergency and critical care, this is an excellent opportunity to hone your skills in a supportive and professional environment. When on duty, you will have time off during the day and enjoy generous stand-down periods to help maintain your energy and focus.

Our OOH duty shifts are typically on a 1 in 12 rotation, ensuring a manageable workload. Weekend day shifts also rotate on a 1 in 12 basis, offering further variety while maintaining a healthy balance.
