Teacher of Computer Science - Southampton
As a Computer Science Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and innovative lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4, equipping students with essential programming, computational thinking, and problem-solving skills. This role is open to experienced teachers, ECTs qualifying this year, and unqualified teachers with a strong passion for Computer Science education.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Computer Science lessons that engage and challenge students of all abilities.
- Support students’ progress by ensuring they develop a strong foundation in coding, algorithms, and digital literacy.
- Contribute to the curriculum development of the Computer Science department.
- Encourage innovation and creativity through practical and theoretical learning.
- Engage in extra-curricular activities such as coding clubs and STEM initiatives.
- Monitor and support students’ overall academic progress as a teacher and form tutor.
- Work collaboratively to raise standards of student attainment and ensure value is added.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to the wider school community.
Requirements:
✅ QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent (for experienced teachers).✅ ECTs and unqualified teachers with a strong subject knowledge in Computer Science are encouraged to apply.
✅ Ability to deliver engaging and interactive lessons in programming, computational thinking, and IT systems.
✅ Strong classroom management and communication skills.
