Job Description
The successful Assistant Finance Manager will likely have the following responsibilities:
- Assisting in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts
- Performing variance analysis and preparing financial reports
- Ensuring accurate financial reporting to decision-makers
- Assisting with tax audits and tax returns
- Supporting month-end and year-end close processes
- Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards
- Supporting the Finance Manager in daily accounting tasks
- Participating in cost reduction and process improvement initiatives
The Successful Applicant
The successful Assistant Finance Manager should have:
- Studying towards the AAT/CIMA/ACCA qualification
- Experience of working with a finance software package or ERP package
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting processes
- Excellent analytical abilities to monitor budgets and spot trends
- Be flexible and respond positively quickly to internal and external stakeholder requests
- An estimated salary range of £35,000 to £40,000, commensurate with experience
