Food Technology Teacher | Ofsted 'Good' School | Birmingham | ASAP Start | Full-Time

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher to join a thriving and supportive school in central Birmingham. This Ofsted-rated 'Good' school is looking for a dynamic educator to start as soon as possible, with the role being full-time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and 4
  • Support students in developing practical cooking and food preparation skills
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and creative learning environment
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of the Food Technology curriculum
  • Maintain a high standard of classroom management and health and safety procedures
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and ideas for improving student outcomes

Essential Requirements:

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) is essential
  • Strong knowledge of the Food Technology curriculum and practical experience in food preparation
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • A passion for inspiring young people and supporting their educational development
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • Previous experience teaching Food Technology at KS3 and KS4
  • A proactive approach to improving student outcomes and fostering creativity
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
