We are seeking compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Bank Care Assistants to join our growing team, providing high-quality care across both our Portsmouth Domiciliary Care Branch and our Isle of Wight Care Homes.
This flexible role is ideal for individuals who want to pick up shifts that suit their availability while making a meaningful difference to the lives of the people we support.
About the Role
As a Bank Care Assistant, you will deliver person-centred care that promotes dignity, independence, and wellbeing. You will work across two service types:
- Portsmouth Domiciliary Care — supporting individuals in their own homes with daily living tasks, personal care, medication, and community access.
- Isle of Wight Care Homes — providing care within a residential setting, supporting multiple residents as part of a structured care team.
This role requires adaptability, professionalism, and a commitment to delivering safe, high-quality care in fast-paced environments.
Key Responsibilities- Personal Care Support — assisting with washing, dressing, toileting, and mobility.
- Medication Assistance — following care plans and recording accurately.
- Daily Living Support — meal preparation, housekeeping, and promoting independence.
- Record Keeping — completing accurate, timely documentation in line with regulatory standards.
- Safeguarding Awareness — reporting concerns promptly and appropriately.
- Team Collaboration — working alongside colleagues to ensure continuity of care.
- Experience in care (domiciliary or residential) is desirable but not essential.
- A caring, patient, and empathetic approach.
- Ability to travel between locations as required.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends.
- Strong communication and reliability.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of care and compliance.
