MAIN PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE JOB:

Working closely with the Logistics Manager, the Logistics Coordinator will manage and oversee the order fulfilment process both domestically and internationally. Proactively investigate and find solutions for delivery challenges.

DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The main duties and responsibilities will include:
  • Efficiently manage order fulfilment processes to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Oversee the coordination of shipments, both domestically within the UK and internationally.
  • Route planning for our internal van delivery team (maternity cover).
  • Collaborate seamlessly with logistics and other supply chain teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Receiving and processing Goods Returns Notes for damaged and faulty products.
  • Liaising internally and externally regarding stock enquiries
  • Dealing with queries from customers about delivery dates and liaising with our distribution partners to ensure prompt delivery of goods.
  • Raising, checking and processing purchase orders into Microsoft Dynamics Nav and ensuring that all files and paperwork are promptly and accurately created and actioned.
  • Raising and processing sales invoices for Special Orders and Drop Shipments
  • Receiving delivery schedules from our key suppliers and ensuring this data is entered correctly into our computer system to ensure that accurate stock information is available.
  • Other duties as delegated from time to time by the Logistics Manager or any other person designated in their absence.
  • The role will evolve once maternity cover has ended.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

EXPERIENCE
  • Some previous experience of an import / export role would be an advantage but is not essential.
  • Must be IT Literate and have gained experience using Microsoft Office software.
  • Our main system for order entry is Microsoft Navision and fill training will be given on this system
