The role?

An exciting permanent opportunity has arisen for a Lifting Project Engineer to join EnerMech on the UK'sLow Carbon Nuclear project based in Bridgwater, Somerset. The role is a Night Shift position where you will be working 12 hour shifts and receive a nightshift daily allowance.

This is a full time salaried role, which offers accommodation allowance and overtime. You will be the main interface and technical support for lifting operations to the Project teams, including project principal contractor, Tier 1 contractors, H&S, QA, transportation and logistics sub-contractors, crane and 3rd party installation subcontractors.

• Advance planning and assurance of all aspects of planning, logistics, stakeholder interface management, lift planning assurance and process oversight of all “Lifting For Others” lifting operations at HPC
• Development and implementation of a procedural document detailing the required processes to be followed by all stakeholders involved with the lifting and installation of “Walled in Items” (in or out of scope)
• Data collation, analysis and reporting of issues relating to the “Lifting for others” of “Walled in Items” to the HPC Senior Management Team
• The planning, review and/or approval of internal and external SSOW’s (Lifting Operations Lift Plans)
• Ensuring that lift operations are planned and executed accordingly.
• Adherence to regional and international lifting standards, regulations & sub-contractors lifting procedures
• Constructing safe systems of work by writing lift plans which will include Method Statements, Risk Assessments and AutoCAD drawings
• Planning and executing lift plan requirements (where required) whilst ensuring the efficient coordination and successful execution of a project programme

You are?

• CPCS Appointed Persons Blue card (Competent Operator)
• Experience of working with AutoCAD/MS Office
• Significant experience of working in an environment of construction sites including marine, Heavy Lift and General Lifting Operations - both on and offshore
• Construction Industry Knowledge
• Effective working knowledge and experience of Logistics & Transport management
• Effective working knowledge and experience of temporary works processes
• Min 10 years’ experience of establishing, creating and implementing Safe Systems of Work (Lift Plans)

You will have demonstrable supervisory experience which show cases strong leadership skills and be a good team player. You will be a strong and effective coordinator who is organised, disciplined, able to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities and parallel tasks
