About the role
As a Senior Account Manager, you will drive motoring revenue growth across both Top Gear and IM brands through developing deep relationships with key, strategic motoring clients. Be a motoring expert across the IM ads department, working collaboratively and pro-actively with all relevant agency and partnership reps, clearly communicating client strategies and updates and attending relevant meetings.Service medium sized clients within your patch, including relevant non-endemic direct clients, driving maximum revenue.
As a Senior Account Manager you will;- Deliver on the IM Motoring strategy, set by the Head of Clients and Digital trading Director
- Ensure TG budgets are hit and exceeded, pro-actively building and presenting new opportunities for the agency reps as well as presenting and pitching the same ideas client side
- Create and drive client direct revenues across the whole of IM
- Rapidly scale the quality and depth of our client direct relationships focusing in on a small number of key strategic accounts
- Work closely with the trading team to plan and best activate relevant senior agency strategic planning relationships
- Play a key role in driving significant revenue growth for the motoring category across the whole IM business
- Develop, communicate and implement clear annual client strategies and regularly review progress with all internal stakeholders
- Help to identify commercial brand innovation and product development
- Identify and communicate sector and market trends, new products and commercial revenue streams that will add value to the group and wider Immediate advertising business
- Create a deep understanding, analysis and continuous monitoring of your assigned competitor(s), their ad revenue, client base and initiatives
- Collaborate and communicate clearly with all IM ad business (Imagine Sales, Studio, Agency, IM Direct) to ensure strategies, new products, opportunities and limitations are clear and fully understood
- Responsible for ensuring IM Direct meet their revenue targets through regular brand and sales support
- In the absence of the Head of Clients, Motoring, deliver weekly TG reporting to internal stakeholders and BBC Studios
- Strong communication and relationship building skills
- Deep understanding of the Motoring sector, including industry trends and new market product launches & initiatives
- Exceptionally strong sales ability at senior level, with the ability to understand and converse with clients at the highest level
- Extremely pro-active and resilient, with the ability to win over and develop deep and meaningful long-term client relationships
- Be fully conversant in all areas of areas of the Immediate advertising business
- Thorough understanding of the whole media landscape, trends, where clients are allocating budget and why
- Great understanding of brand marketing strategies and how brands grow
- An appreciation of how clients work internally and with their respective agency rosters
- Strong presentation skills
- Strong ability to excite and engage with clients and agencies
- Pro-active attitude and ability to drive momentum
- Accomplished business and numeracy skills
- Ability to think on your feet and multi-task easily
