Modern Foreign Languages Teacher

Location: Dorchester, Dorset
Contract: Full-time (part-time opportunities may be considered)

Start Date: September 2026 (or sooner if available)

We are delighted to be recruiting a committed and inspiring Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages to join our thriving secondary school in Dorchester, Dorset. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated teacher to spark enthusiasm for languages and contribute to a dynamic and forward‑looking department.

About the Role

As a Teacher of MFL, you will:

  • Teach French and/or Spanish across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons that motivate students to succeed
  • Support the ongoing development of an ambitious and well‑structured MFL curriculum
  • Use effective assessment to promote progress and achievement
  • Actively contribute to the wider school community and enrichment opportunities

About You

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold QTS (or be on track to achieve it)
  • Be passionate about language learning and cultural awareness
  • Have strong classroom management and a positive, inclusive approach to teaching
  • Set high expectations and support learners of all abilities
  • Enjoy working collaboratively within a supportive team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
