Job overview

We are recruiting for a part-time Housekeeper to join our friendly, enthusiastic and dedicated team at Witney Community Hospital.

This role enhances the patient experience by providing a high-quality cleaning and catering service. You'll be ensuring a clean, safe environment is maintained and provide catering provisions for clients, for which in-house training will be provided.

The role involves shift working including lates, earlies, weekends, and bank holidays over a rolling rota, whereby weekend and banks holidays are paid at an enhanced rate.

Main duties of the job
  • Cleaning and maintaining the patient rooms, public areas, back of house areas such as linen room and laundry areas, according to Trust policy and procedures at a level that meets or exceeds National Cleanliness standards.
  • Plan own work in-line with the daily cleaning routines and cleaning tasks as per rota.
  • Carry out terminal and enhanced cleans as per local procedures
  • Participate in cleaning audits as necessary
  • Handle and remove waste in line with segregation processes and procedures
  • Unpack and stack all linen and laundry.
  • Regenerate cook/chill meals recording the temperatures of food at stages defined as appropriate within the relevant wards.
