If so … I have an exciting opportunity for you as a SEMH Tutor in Loughton!
As a SEMH Tutor, you will play a pivotal role in providing academic and emotional support to students facing SEMH challenges. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Delivering tailored 1:1 tutoring sessions to students with SEMH needs, supporting their academic progress and personal development.
- Planning lessons and creating resources, according to the students needs and learning style, to create a bespoke individualised learning package.
- Creating a supportive and nurturing environment that fosters emotional well-being and positive behaviour.
- Helping students to engage, encourage their active participation in the learning process.
- Providing feedback for each session, on our bespoke learning platform LEAP.
What we look for in our educators:
- A genuine passion for supporting students with SEMH needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport and trust with students.
- Previous experience working with students with SEMH needs, either in a tutoring, teaching, or support role.
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) is not essential, but relevant experience or qualifications in education are highly desirable.
- An understanding of SEMH challenges and knowledge of strategies to support students with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
- Flexibility and adaptability to tailor teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of individual students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
