Special Education Teaching Assistant – Sensory
We are in need of an individual which is looking to work in a Special Education environment in Hengoed, Caerphilly, supporting young people which have Additional Learning Needs (ALN). The children are aged 3-19 and working towards a Primary level of Education.
Location: Hengoed, Caerphilly
Hours: 8:30am – 15:30pm
Pay: Minimum of £419 per weekStart: 6^th January for an induction day
Duration: Temporary Contract until 18^th July 2025 (performance dependent)
The class has 5-8 students at one time, with a Teacher to conduct the lesson and support the successful applicant on the daily needs of the child and expectation of what is to be achieved. There will be a set structure to the day where the timetable will reflect what the children are aiming to achieve that term.
The young people are very enthusiastic when engaging in sensory play e.g. Physical touch with sand and water, therefore the successful applicant will be expected to engage with the children in meeting their sensory needs. Individuals with a background in Nursery work or a love for the outdoors would be ideal.
