About the Role

Base Location: Flexible Scotland | We're proud to offer a Flexible First approach to work, and this role is no exception. We will, however, need your base 'home' location to be one of our SSEN offices or depots around Scotland, Perth, Aberdeen and Inverness.

Salary: £33,500 - £50,300 performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Flexible First options available

As a Performance Excellence Analyst, you'll play a crucial role in enhancing SSEN Transmission's strategies, investments, and external positioning. You'll be at the forefront of increasing organisational performance visibility, developing and improving key performance indicators, and utilising advanced analytics to identify future trends and opportunities.

The key duties & responsibilities will be to:

  • Lead initiatives to standardise and improve performance reporting across our business.
  • Develop and maintain the Transmission balance scorecard, tracking performance against business objectives including the related reporting, analysis and communication to our Executive Committee.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, including senior management, to communicate performance insights.
  • Identify emerging trends and themes that may affect organisational performance.
  • Development of best practices and capabilities to drive performance excellence throughout the organisation, empowering our business to have brilliant constructive performance conversations.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

  • Minimum 12 months' experience in data analysis and performance reporting.
  • Experience of and skilled in project management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, and Power Apps.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills which can be adapted to the specific audience.
  • Polite, self-motivated and proactive person with strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
