Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Development Engineer to join our client based in Oakham. This role will eventually lead to a Development Manager position, offering an exciting opportunity for career growth. The ideal candidate will have an electrical background, preferably within the food industry.Responsibilities
Identify opportunities for improvements and make recommendations to enhance machine and process effectiveness.Assist in managing engineering projects from inception through to completion, including writing equipment specifications, managing resources, implementing and monitoring project progress, and ensuring compliance with budgetary limitations.Adhere to company Health and Safety requirements and provide hands-on support to the Engineering team.Qualifications
Timed served engineer, electrically bias - HNC / HND Level.Good working knowledge of PLC and servo drive / control systems.Understanding and ability to work with / troubleshoot Pneumatic and Hydraulic systems.IT literate, Competency in CAD, ideally 2D AutoCAD.Experience in installing and commissioning new equipment.Good understanding of Health and Safety regulations and contractor management.Day-to-day
Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.Analytical ability to approach, manage, and solve problems of varying complexity.Take a hands-on approach to work and possess excellent communication and organizational skills.Benefits
