Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay Rate: £12.90/hour

Are you a skilled professional with a proven track record in supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Teaching Assistant to provide 1-2-1 support to a student with ADHD and autism in a mainstream primary school.

Essential Experience Required:

  • Extensive experience working with children who have ADHD, autism, and other SEN needs.
  • A solid understanding of neurodiverse learning strategies and behavioural management techniques.
  • Confidence in managing challenging behaviour effectively and fostering positive relationships.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Offer tailored 1-2-1 support to meet the unique needs of the student.
  • Implement strategies that encourage emotional regulation and positive interactions.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to provide a unified and consistent support network.
  • Monitor and adapt learning interventions to promote academic and personal growth.
  • Ensure regular, constructive communication with parents, providing updates and guidance for home support.

Who You Are:

  • Experienced in working with SEN children in primary school settings.
  • Knowledgeable about the Additional Learning Needs (ALN) Code of Practice.
  • Patient, empathetic, resilient, and able to adapt quickly to dynamic situations.
  • Skilled in building a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
