We have opportunities for Operations Managers across our Trust geography. The role of Operations Manager is pivotal in the day to day operational management of a County area, service delivery and ensuring high quality patient care.

Successful candidates will be adaptable to the changing operational pressures of the Trust and develop effective working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

The role of Operations Manager provides local leadership, direction, and support to Operations Officers.

You will need to demonstrate excellent leadership skills and have relevant experience to enable you to operationally manage and motivate a large multi-disciplinary team to continue to deliver a high quality, safe and effective service. Strong leadership and ability to work collaboratively with partner organisations will be required

Main duties of the job

The Operations Manager is a key role in the County management structure and as such will be a role model for operational staff. Reporting to the Head of Operations, the Operations Manager has operational responsibility for the efficient and effect day to day management and smooth running of the County.

The Operations Manager will deputise for the Head of Operations and in their absence will assume full responsibility for the County.

A key part of this role is line management responsibility for the Operations Officers working within the County.

The Operations Manager will be responsible for helping the Head of Operations deliver high quality patient care across the County being responsible for ensuring consistent operational working practices and working in conjunction with their counterparts in other Counties to make sure best practice is identified and implemented.

  • Educated to post graduate level or significant demonstrable equivalent experience
  • Emergency driving qualification

  • HCPC registered Paramedic, or Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registered Nurse, or equivalent.
