Divisional Rota Co-ordinator | Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust
The post holder will support the provision of high quality patient care by working with Management teams to effectively deploy all temporary staffing groups to meet the needs of the services, whilst ensuring compliance with the European Working Time Directive and reducing spend.
This will involve close liaison with junior doctors, consultants, ward/Dept. managers, service and management teams, NHS Professionals and NHS Improvement approved external agency suppliers.
The Divisional Rota Coordinator team currently support the management of medical on-call rotas within Salford Integrated Care Division, Manchester Centre Clinical Neurosciences and Division of Surgery.
The team work closely together supporting each other and ensuring quality and safe junior medical staffing cover across the divisions.
The post holder will be responsible for the administration processes to support the management of the on-call rotas for junior and Consultant staff. The post holder will provide day-to-day support to the Clinical Divisions in providing a high standard of cover/care by effective maximisation of medical and surgical staff resources and a responsibility for initiating the necessary action in order to maintain service requirements.
Specifically, the post holder will develop and maintain robust systems for the recording and management of sickness absence amongst junior doctors, as well as annual leave and study leave. This includes accurate reporting to the Clinical Leads in order to comply with SRFT Sickness and Absence procedures and close liaison with medical secretaries to ensure clinical commitments reflects planned leave.
