This is a highly sought-after opportunity for an experienced finance professional with advanced technical skills, commercial acumen, and a passion for delivering actionable insights for business growth. You will play a pivotal role in supporting strategic decision-making through the creation, review, and presentation of robust financial models tailored to the needs of internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Modelling Development:
  • Design and build advanced financial models for business forecasting, scenario planning, and valuation purposes.
  • Ensure models are scalable, auditable, and adhere to best practices for financial modelling standards.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
  • Collaborate with finance and strategy teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning cycles.
  • Provide actionable insights to key stakeholders on financial performance and key business drivers.
  • Stakeholder Interaction:
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders (internal and external) to translate financial data into clear and compelling narratives for decision-making purposes.
  • Present findings and scenarios to non-financial stakeholders in a concise, easy-to-understand manner.
  • Strategic Analysis & Business Case Development:
  • Conduct detailed revenue, cost, and profitability analysis to assess potential new investments or strategic projects.
  • Support with business case preparation, providing quantitative and qualitative analysis to evaluate risks and opportunities.
  • Financial Model Review & Improvement:
  • Review and validate existing financial models to ensure they are accurate, logical, and informative.
  • Identify inefficiencies and implement improvements for automation and accuracy.

Key Qualifications & Attributes:

  • Education & Certification:
  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field is essential.
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent financial qualification is desirable.
  • Experience:
  • Proven experience (minimum 3+ years) in a financial modelling role, including experience in building models from scratch.
  • Industry experience in managing consultancy, or professional services is advantageous.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including macros, advanced functions, and pivot tables
  • Knowledge of financial modelling best practices (FAST, SMART, or other methodologies).
  • Experience with financial planning software such as Anaplan or similar is a plus.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to present financial insights clearly and effectively.
  • Excellent analytical mindset and problem-solving ability with sharp attention to detail.
  • Proactive, inquisitive, and commercially focused with a passion for adding value to the business.
