My client is a family run business in the industrial / heavy engineering industry. With over 150 years of success, now is an exciting time to join the company as they continue to grow and expand.This Maintenance Manager appointment is taking over from a long serving incumbent who will be retiring within the next few months so there will be a good handover period between you.Due to the size of the business this role will suit someone who is capable of managing a team, but is also not afraid to get their hands dirty.
Job Description- To lead, manage and develop the existing Maintenance Supervisors, Engineers and Technicians across 4 local sites.
- Organise PPMs, proactive and reactive maintenance strategies suitable to meet business demands.
- Ensuring daily/weekly/monthly inspections are carried out and defects are reported as required.
- Coordinate the installation of new equipment and oversee upgrades or modifications.
- To ensure upgrade works, preventative and planned maintenance activities are performed to the highest standards, whether by employees or contractors.
- Ensuring that all operations take place with health and safety protocols in mind.
The Successful Applicant
The successful Maintenance Manager will have:
- Experience in the maintenance and repair of industrial equipment.
- Experience in managing multi-skilled engineering teams in an industrial / heavy engineering environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Hands-on approach where required.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and prioritise accordingly.
- Salary of £55-65k, depending on experience.
