Network Engineer - LA International
A large healthcare organisation is looking for a Network Engineer for a 6 month contract
with hybrid working and an expectation the ideal candidate will be onsite 3 days a week in London.
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Engineer with extensive experience in Cisco Unified Communications (UC), Cisco Unified Contact Center Enterprise (UCCE), Webex collaboration tools, and entertainment/ digital signage solutions.The successful candidate will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and supporting communication and collaboration technologies to enhance business operations and customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Unified Communications and Collaboration:
- Design, deploy, and manage Cisco Unified Communications (UC) solutions, including CUCM, Unity Connection, and IM&P.
- Configure and maintain Cisco Unified Contact Center Enterprise (UCCE), ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
- Implement and manage Webex collaborative tools, including Meetings, Teams, and Webex Devices.
- Integrate collaboration tools with third-party applications and cloud services as needed.
Entertainment and Digital Signage Solutions:
- Design and deploy entertainment and digital signage systems for corporate and public environments.
- Collaborate with content teams to ensure seamless integration of media with networked signage platforms.
- Optimize network performance for streaming and multimedia applications.
Implementation and Operations:
- Conduct end-to-end implementation of UC and collaboration solutions, including hardware, software, and network configurations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to voice, video, and collaboration systems.
- Manage firmware upgrades, patches, and system updates for Cisco UC and Webex platforms.
Monitoring and Optimisation:
- Monitor network and system performance to ensure optimal operation of UC and collaboration tools.
- Analyze call quality metrics and resolve QoS-related issues.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of designs, configurations, and processes.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT security and infrastructure, to align solutions with business needs.
- Train junior engineers and end-users on collaboration technologies and best practices.
Technical Expertise:
- Proven experience with Cisco UC solutions, including CUCM, Unity, and UCCE.
- Strong knowledge of Webex collaboration tools and devices.
- Experience with SIP, H.323, and MGCP protocols.
- Familiarity with QoS, network routing, and switching technologies.
- Hands-on experience with digital signage platforms and multimedia streaming technologies.
- Scripting and automation skills using Python, Ansible, or similar tools are a plus.
Previous healthcare experience would be very beneficial.
