The Role

The Full-stack Software Engineer will be part of a tight knit team working to build innovative solutions and boost our cloud performance to ensure seamless access and functionality when accessing our Quantum systems via the cloud. They will solve the challenges encountered by partners and end users by working closely with internal and external stakeholders to gather information and iterate on solutions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions, that are scalable, maintainable, and optimised for performance.
  • Respond to technical and business led requirements to ensure a great end user experience
  • Actively collaborate with internal teams to create and improve software solutions for accessing our cutting edge quantum computers.
  • Foster a culture of technical excellence and growth by taking ownership of your development goals and staying informed about technological advances and industry trends
  • Design, build and run software from scratch - We aim to produce great code that is easy for others to understand and maintain
Required Skills and Experience
  • Experience in commercial full stack/ web app development in Python
  • Strong understanding of common data structures and programming methods
  • Creative mindset for developing solutions to unique and challenging problems
  • Technically versatile and able to learn new skills that you can apply across multiple types of work
  • Experience with containerised microservices and deployment in global environment
  • Experience building REST services
  • Experience with modern cloud infrastructure such as Kubernetes and Azure/AWS
  • Team player with a Continuous learning mindset
  • Knowledge equivalent to with graduate-level computer science and any numerical subject
Desired Skills
  • Ideally full stack experience / ready to learn and turn their hand to everything
  • Experience in developing web app / webservices using other high level languages
  • Extensive working knowledge of one or more of JavaScript/Typescript, HTML, CSS, React/Angular/Node.js
  • Expertise in Flask web framework and Flask-security
  • Experience in message broker and data streaming tools
  • Expertise in SQL, including knowledge in PL/SQL
