The Role
As a Support Worker, you will be working as part of a team providing support for individuals with learning and physical disabilitie- Help with the challenges of everyday life such as dressing, cooking and general household tasks
- Participate in hobbies, supporting with social engagements and enabling our people to live their best life
- Administer medication as required
- Complete daily care plans
- Ensure safeguarding responsibilities are met and to protect the adults’ rights to live safely and
free from abuse or neglect
The people you will be supporting
Aspirations are looking for a support worker to support a two individuals on a 1:1 basis in their shared home. The people we support need full support with all aspects of daily living including but not limited to personal care, meal preparation, shopping, maintaining their home.
The gentleman we support is in his early 40’s. He uses a manual wheelchair when out in the community but an electric wheelchair when at home.
He likes to go out and about for drives, he enjoys shopping, eating out and a night at the pub. He is a big football fan and likes to see at least one match at Dover Town or Folkestone every week.
He enjoys socialising with his friends and going to the theatre or attending music gigs. He is a fabulous singer and loves Karaoke. He also enjoys getting away on holiday.
The gentleman we support will require his staff to be fun, bubbly, adventurous, committed to trying new activities with him and ideally be a driver. He has his own car that his support staff drive, and he enjoys getting out and about on a daily basis.So, a driver would be preferable but not essential
The lady we support is in her 30’s. She uses a manual wheelchair to access the community and an electric wheelchair when in her home.
Like her housemate, she enjoys shopping, eating out and socialising, she will also occasionally join her housemate at the football.
The lady we support is very girly and loves all things pink and Disney. She loves a pamper session, having her nails painted at the salon and her make-up and hair done. She also loves musical theatre.
The lady we support will require her staff to be bubbly, fun, encouraging and committed to trying new activities with her. She also has her own adapted vehicle so a driver would be preferable but not essential.
The Person- Previous experience of working in Health and social care is preferred but not essential
