Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum (depending on experience)

As the Chef Manager at Dulwich Prep School, you will take full ownership of the catering operation, ensuring the smooth delivery of fresh, nutritious, and high-quality meals for the prep school and nursery. You will be responsible for managing stock, ordering, and supplier relationships while also enhancing menus to meet the evolving needs of the school community.
This role also includes overseeing school functions and events, working closely with staff to provide an excellent dining experience. If you are a strong leader with a passion for food, innovation, and team management, we would love to hear from you.

Job Description- Oversee food preparation and meal service for the prep school and nursery
- Ensure high standards of food quality, hygiene, and health and safety are maintained
- Plan and develop menus that meet the needs of students and staff
- Manage stock control and order supplies as needed
- Control food budgets and ensure cost-effective operations
- Ensure meals are nutritious, balanced, and cater to dietary requirements
- Monitor and maintain kitchen cleanliness and organisation
- Maintain a positive, collaborative working environment within the kitchen team
- Experience in a similar chef or kitchen management role
- Level 3 Food Safety & Hygiene certification (or equivalent)
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Knowledge of dietary requirements and allergen management
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain)
- Passion for quality food and a commitment to high standards of service
