We are looking to recruit Pre-Registration Trainee Pharmacy Technicians to be based at Salford Royal Hospital with our friendly team of Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Medicine Management Assistants and Assistant Technical Officers
***This is a 2 year fixed term appointment***
Pharmacy Technicians have an important role within the primary and secondary care managing all aspects of medicines. Trainees will contribute to healthcare in the Hospital, General Practice surgeries and Community Pharmacies working across the whole health care system.

This is an excellent opportunity to train for a career as a Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
You will study for a BTEC Level 3 Diploma in the Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Technicians on a day release apprenticeship program delivered online.
Applicants must possess a minimum of 4 GCSEs at grade A - C or grade 4 - 9 including English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, or dual science.
You must be willing and able to follow an academic and practical training course and commit up to 10 hours per week of your own time for private study.

Qualifications & Registration
Essential criteria- A minimum of 4 GCSE qualifications or equivalent at grade A* - C or 4 – 9, in Maths, English and Chemistry (Science Dual Award is accepted) plus one other subject.
- BTEC Level 2 Certificate in the Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Support Staff, or equivalent
Experience, Knowledge & Skills
Essential criteria- Previous pharmacy / hospital experience
- Good time management skills
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Keyboard / computer skills
- Evidence of accuracy and precision
- Experience of working with the public
