Claims Handler

DWF Claims is currently hiring a Claims Adjuster! In this role, you will join our Motor claims team, with responsibility for your personal caseload of motor claims, including personal injury, credit hire and vehicle damage. You will also help the team by mentoring some junior members of the team.
This role offers the opportunity to work on a Fully Remote basis and to have your work contribute to the progress of one of the top legal and business services providers!
Responsibilities:
- To work flexibly in adjusting to changes in priority of workload;
- Awareness of relevant client strategies and ensure implementation on cases / projects;
- Achievement of personal targets, as well as contribution to team performance at a high level, including financial and non-financial measures where applicable;
- To research solutions to problems/issues on cases / projects to develop your technical knowledge;
- To deliver revenue for the team through existing business activity and developing your professional network;
- Generate ideas for implementation which develop new ways of working,
- To be enterprising in problem solving on cases through identifying potential issues and solutions, always adding value to the case / project;
- To support the training and development of more junior team members;
- Handle claims from first advice to closure, investing the necessary level of ability required for each claim;
- Develop, document and execute claims strategies taking into account key strategies, potential outcomes and estimated associated costs;
- Follow at all times any applicable client claims reserving philosophy and claims standards, including adherence to contractual service standards;
- To demonstrate the Firm's Winning Behaviours, delivering a commitment to the firms values and CSR agenda.
What will help you succeed in this role? :
Essential- Experience within the Motor/RTA claims arena, including credit hire & personal injury,
- Success in producing financial results & providing excellent client service,
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office packages,
- Ability to build effective professional relationships both with external clients and internal colleagues,
- Excellent attention to detail to be able to carefully assess information,
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
- Excellent teamwork skills
