Housekeeper cook job
Perfect Household Staff is offering a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and proactive temporary full-time live-out Housekeeper Cook to join a respectful private household based in Rochdale, Greater Manchester. The role is to support an elderly couple who already employ a dedicated carer and are now seeking an additional professional to assist with the smooth day-to-day running of their home.
The principals are looking for a reliable, organised, and compassionate candidate who can confidently manage housekeeping duties whilst also preparing three simple, nutritious meals per day. The family does not entertain regularly, therefore the workload is expected to remain consistent and manageable.This position requires a hands-on and self-sufficient Housekeeper Cook who is able to take initiative and work independently without requiring close supervision.
Cooking duties will focus on preparing fresh, home-style meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The principals are not seeking a chef-level candidate, but rather someone who is confident preparing wholesome and varied everyday meals. In addition to housekeeping and cooking responsibilities, the role will involve running household errands, grocery shopping, and assisting with general household organisation as required.
The household also has a large friendly dog, therefore the candidate should be comfortable around pets and happy to assist with light pet care duties when needed. As errands and shopping will form part of the role, a valid driving licence and access to a personal vehicle are essential requirements for this position.

Salary: £23 – £27 gross per hour, based on qualifications

Main duties of the Housekeeper/Cook:
Full housekeeping duties to a high standardDaily cleaning, tidying, and maintaining household organisation
Laundry and ironing
Preparing breakfast, lunch, and dinner for the principals
Cooking simple, nutritious home-style meals
Grocery shopping and household errands
Ensuring household supplies remain fully stocked
Occasional driving duties
Light pet care for a large friendly dog
Working alongside the existing carer to support the principals
Maintaining a clean, safe, comfortable, and welcoming home environment
Requirements for this Housekeeper/Cook job:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience within a private householdGood spoken English essential
Confident driver with own vehicle
Trustworthy, discreet and respectful of household privacy
Comfortable with pet care
At least two excellent, checkable references
Valid right to work in the UK
