Grade 4, £25,584 up to £28,624 per annum pro rata
37 hours per week, 12-month fixed term contract, Monday to Friday, hybrid working with office attendance as part of a duty rota.
We require a Housing Registration Assessment Officer in the Housing Options Team to provide a front line, customer focused housing service, helping and assessing our customers to register for social housing from start to finish in line with legislation and policy.
Duties will include:
- Providing advice to service users
- Uploading and reviewing evidential proofs
- Signing up new tenancies
- Maintenance of the housing registration waiting list
- Assistance in the garage letting process and preparation of documents relating to the termination of tenancies
- Ensure all applicant information is accurately recorded using IT databases
- Compiling associated documentation for performance indicators and government returns.
Candidates must have excellent organisational skills, be able to communicate effectively in a pressurised environment, use initiative, work well in a team and be able to work in a fast paced environment, adapt to changing priorities to meet customer needs and have experience of dealing with sensitive issues, both via the telephone and face to face when interviewing members of the public as part of the housing application process.
We operate a ‘hybrid working’ model with a mix of office based, home and remote working available when suitable. The contractual base will be office based with agreed flexibility to work from home or at remote working locations in the borough and as part of a duty rota with the rest of the team.
