Teaching Personnel’s SEN/SEMH team is seeking a committed Support Worker to join a specialist SEMH school. This role is perfect for someone with experience in education, youth work, mental health, or care settings who wants to positively impact students facing challenges in their learning and personal development.
Role Overview:
- Provide tailored support to students with SEMH needs and complex trauma.
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and pastoral teams to create a nurturing environment.
- Assist with emotional regulation, behavior management, and social development.
- Encourage engagement in learning and help students build confidence and resilience.
Requirements:
- Experience working with young people with SEMH needs, trauma, or additional learning needs.
- A compassionate and patient approach to supporting vulnerable students.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
- A DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
