Shift Manager (Food Manufacturing)
Are you a quality focused Shift Manager with a passion for excellence and sustainability? Our client who are a proud member of Scotland's top 20 food and drink businesses, are seeking a Shift Manager, from a food background, to join there new management team in South Ayrshire.
This exciting role is your chance to lead the factory floor operations and contribute to there mission of delivering premium products while championing sustainable practices.
As the Shift Manager, you will lead and inspire the factory team to meet daily KPIs, drive health, safety, and food quality standards, manage people-related issues, and implement performance improvements. You will also act as the senior manager for the entire site outside regular office hours.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring the achievement of site KPIs (safety, quality, efficiency, etc.),
- Fostering a proactive health & safety and food safety culture, identifying and implementing improvements in daily management systems
- Conducting performance and development discussions with team members, providing coaching and technical knowledge to enhance team capabilities
- Managing data collection and analysis for continuous improvement
Our client is looking for you to have the following:
- Leadership experience in FMCG (chilled food experience is a plus),
- H&S qualification (e.g., IOSH), food safety qualifications (e.g., Level 3, HACCP), and an understanding of machinery and autonomous maintenance is advantageous
- You should be results-driven with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of Lean processes (SIC, RCA), and good analytical skills
- A commitment to self-development and career growth is essential
The working hours are:
Week 1: Mon, Tue, Sat, SunWeek 2: Wed, Thu, Fri
Hours are 7.45am - 8pm
