Millennium and Copthorne Hotels Salford
The Copthorne Hotel Manchester are seeking an experienced Reception Shift Leader to provide a warm welcome, helpful and efficient service to guests
The Copthorne Hotel Manchester sits peacefully on the attractive Salford Quays waterfront and is within easy reach of Media City UK. The hotel offers modern guest rooms with a choice of Standard, Club or Suite accommodation. The Clippers Brasserie offers a traditional menu with views over Salford Quays.
The Clippers Bar serves hearty pub food throughout the day with pre-dinner and pre-match drinks available.

As Reception Shift Leader your key responsibilities include:
- Providing a friendly and efficient service to guests, ensuring company policy and procedures are complied with, consistently
- Dealing with guest queries/complaints promptly and communicating with the Duty Manager, as appropriate
- Providing accurate shift handovers ensuring all items requiring attention are detailed in handover diary and the shift checklist is completed to the required standard
- Ensuring all reports are updated regularly throughout the day
- Ensuring all information is communicated to the relevant department in the interest of providing excellent customer service
- Assisting the Front Office Manager with the smooth running of the department, including supervision and training of the Reception team
We are keen to hear from applicants with the following:
- Previous Reception experience within a quality hotel
- Excellent knowledge of computerised Front Office system, e.g., OPERA
- Excellent communications skills
- A positive, ‘can do’ attitude
- The ability to work well under pressure
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work on a rota basis, including weekend work. Typical shifts are 07:00-15:30 or 14:30-2300, as the business requires
