Our client runs a thriving business that designs and manufactures safety-critical electronic and electromechanical devices for harsh environments. They are seeking a Senior Electronics Design Engineer with coding skills to join the team.
The Job
As an Electronic Design & Software Design Engineer, you will join a team working on projects to design circuits and develop software, integrating these into mechanical housings ready for testing and manufacture.
Technical responsibilities:- PIC microcontroller design using C
- Prototyping and Breadboarding
- PCB layout design using Altium
- Design for CE marking, EMC and Low Voltage Directive
- Test and validation internally and with third-party approval bodies
About You
As a Senior Electronics Design Engineer, you should have the following skills and experience:- HNC/HND/Degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent
- Proficiency in analogue and digital circuit design using Altium or similar
- Programming skills in C for PIC 8-bit & 16-bit microcontrollers
- Knowledge of Assembler for legacy products is advantageous
- Understanding of hazardous location electronics
- Design experience with wide temperature range products
