Job Description
Accounts Payable Clerk- Process high-volume supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper authorisation
- Match invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies
- Prepare and process weekly and monthly payment runs (BACS)
- Maintain accounts payable ledgers and vendor records
- Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to resolve queries promptly
- Assist with month-end close including accruals and reporting
- Support with audit requirements and provide documentation as needed
The Successful Applicant
A successful Accounts Payable Manager should have:
- Studying toward AAT or strong experience
- Previous experience in an Accounts Payable or Purchase Ledger role, ideally in a manufacturing or production environment
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g. Sage, SAP, or similar ERP systems)
- Strong Excel skills (v-lookups, pivot tables desirable)
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks under pressure
- An estimated salary range of £27,000 - £30,000 per annum
