Transport Planning Coordinator
Allstaff Logistics Division are delighted to bring to the market the role of Transport Planning Coordinator based in Paisley.
This is a pivotal role responsible for delivering transport planning services to a well established Logistics company that is part of a larger UK business, ensuring seamless and efficient execution of the process from collection to invoicing.We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Transport Planning Coordinator who thrives in a team-oriented environment and values strong working relationships across the business.
Working Hours: 37.5 hrs perweek - core working hours are 8.00 to 17.00 hrs, however, the final start and end times will be shared at interview stage as they can vary a bit.
Job Role:-
Review outstanding orders within the transport management system.Plan daily vehicle movements, consolidating orders to optimise costs.
Communicate with dedicated drivers to ensure timely collections.
Arrange collection and delivery times, obtaining booking references where required.
Ensure all relevant details are accurately entered into the transport management system.
Proactively manage daily operational issues.
Provide high-quality operational data and key performance indicators (KPIs) upon request.
Support the Operations Team with other relevant duties as required.
Ensure all queries are checked and updated daily and finance is kept informed of changes.
The ideal candidate must meet the following criteria:
Essential:
Minimum of 2 years' operational experience in a transport planning role.Strong knowledge of route planning for HGVs, including legal compliance.
Good understanding of Food Safety regulations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of the freight, transport, and logistics industry.
Desirable:
Knowledge of WTD and EU/AETR rules on Drivers’ Hours.Experience with temperature-controlled transport.
Knowledge of a European language.
