Temporary fixed term contract or Secondment to cover Maternity Leave
Initial 6 month contract with a view to increasing to 12 months.
We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic Staff Nurse or Nurse Associate to join our established dedicated team providing personalised and effective care to women accessing our gynaecology services.
You will be provided with all the training and support required to ensure high standards of care for women.
As with all secondment opportunities, interested parties should discuss the opportunity with their line manager before applying.
The Trust appreciates and values the contribution international nurses bring to the NHS. We also understand the support overseas nurses need to gain full registration once in the UK (via OSCE) and therefore we only recruit internationally to fill nursing vacancies when we can ensure support is in place.At this present time we aren’t in a position to offer that support and therefore will not accept applications from overseas nurses who only have Part 1 NMC registration. If that position changes in future we will clearly advertise our opportunities for international nurses to join our nurse team here in Bolton.

Candidates must have excellent communication skills and demonstrate an empathetic, sensitive and compassionate approach to all. Candidates must have the ability to work in a team, as well as autonomously as an individual capacity. This post will require the candidate to work flexibly across the week Monday – Friday in Women’s Health Care Department and across the gynaecology services when required.
Women’s Health Care Department which is a unique Gynaecology Unit dedicated to the screening, investigation and treatment of the surrounding female population and their families. We are a centre of excellence with a team of 15 members of Nursing & Support Staff and 20 highly skilled and experienced consultants providing specialised care and research for the following: oncology, female urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, infertility investigations, urogynaecology and various gynaecological conditions.The Department provides an excellent and ever increasing service which is committed to providing high quality care for the local population and surrounding communities.

The role will be within the Women's Health Care department, working alongside the existing Nursing and Medical Team caring for ladies attending for a variety of Gynaecological conditions and their related investigations and treatments.
