Maths Teacher
We are seeking a dedicated and inspiring Maths Teacher to join a dynamic and forward-thinking team at a wonderful school in Huntingdon. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified teacher to engage students in the beauty and logic of mathematics, helping them develop their problem-solving skills and confidence in the subject.
As a Maths Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 teaching available if applicable). You will play a crucial role in raising attainment and fostering a love for mathematics through engaging and interactive teaching methods.This role begins September 2025.
Duties as a Maths Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated, and challenging Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 if required).
- Use a variety of teaching strategies to support and stretch all learners, including SEND and high-achieving students.
- Assess, track, and report on student progress to ensure high levels of attainment.
- Create a positive and focused classroom environment with high expectations for behaviour and achievement.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop resources and share best practices.
- Provide targeted interventions and support for students who need additional help.
- Engage with parents and carers to ensure students receive the best possible support.
- Contribute to the wider school community, including extracurricular activities, Maths clubs, and enrichment programmes.
Ideal Maths Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
- Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 Maths (KS5 experience desirable but not essential).
- A passion for making Maths engaging, accessible, and enjoyable for all students.
- Strong classroom management skills with high expectations for behaviour and progress.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills as a Maths Teacher.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
