Job Profile

Senior Structural Engineer - required for our rapidly expanding client to work across the UK the Structural Design Engineer will be based from the office in Warrington and some home working. The individual in the role of Structural Engineer will be involved in Structural Inspections and survey as well as Design work.

The company will fully support the Engineer to become chartered if not already and to progress their career as the company grows.

• Dual Role within Design and Surveying
• Inspection of all types of buildings and structures and the preparation of digital reports
• Preparation of specifications for remedial works
• Providing technical support for Buildings Insurance claims, including subsidence, fire and storm damage
• Completing site visits for residential and commercial building projects using digital technology
• Delivering small to medium design projects
• Delivering design calculations for buildings insurance claims, including subsidence, fire, impact, flooding and storm damage
• Reporting to the Managing Director and providing progress reports
• Developing new ideas to help shape the future of the business

• 1 + or higher degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering
• Several years' experience in structural surveys of buildings and design
• Proficiency in IT systems and software's including; AutoCad, TEDDS
• Good understanding of building structures and materials including steel, masonry, concrete and timber
• MICE or MIStructE or close to achieving
• Passionate about new technologies, progressive change and continuous improvement
• Car owner and UK driving licence, able to travel to site
