Grade H (SP 28 to 33) Actual salary range £40,755 to £45,510 for 36 hours PW
30 days paid annual leave (in addition to bank holidays) and local government pension scheme.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our dynamic team at Malden Oaks. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong financial background and excellent organisational skills to support our Head of Business Services in managing the operational functions and financial management of the school.
You will enjoy working in a fast pace ever-changing environment, and have a desire to directly deliver continuous improvement to support our students to thrive in a welcoming, safe, and pleasant environment.
Our school and tuition service, which provides high quality provision for students with social, emotional and mental health needs, is constantly expanding and adapting, in response to increased levels of demand. The ability to work flexibly, think creatively, and be solution focused is essential.
This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and experienced individual to deliver a range of functions and activities across the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Head of Business Services in the financial management of the school, including cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, whilst ensuring financial compliance with education funding regulations and policies.
- Develop and implement strategies to drive cost efficiency and financial sustainability.
- Support the Head of Business Services to ensure the smooth and efficient running of all non-teaching operations of the school, including the management of the school estate and HR functions.
Key Requirements:
- Proven financial management experience, preferably within an education or public services setting.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations, preferably within an education or public services setting.
- Excellent strategic planning and financial management skills.
- Experience managing complex budgets and financial decision-making.
- Strong management and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with the senior leadership team, staff, and governors.
- A relevant finance qualification (such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is desirable.
